Special Screening Of Kaushik Ganguly’s Romance Thriller Kaberi Antardhan
Surinder Films organized a special screening of ‘Kaberi Antardhan‘ at Inox, Quest Mall. Gracing the evening were the National Award-Winning Director and Actor Kaushik Ganguly along with the cast and crew of the movie including Prosenjit Chatterjee, Churni Ganguly, Kaushik Sen, Srabanti Chatterjee, Ambarish Bhattacharya, and Purab Seal Acharya, among others.
The movie takes place in Bengal during the tumultuous emergency phase in the 1970s. It will show the terrible effects of the Emergency era on the youthful generation living in isolated, rural areas as well as the early difficulties the local police force faced in trying to stop the troubling Naxal activities of that era.
Kaberi Antardhan’ is the story of an ordinary man’s quest to unravel the truth behind a painful death of an individual.
The movie begins with the unexpected passing away of Senior Police Officer Mr. Mrinmoy Ghosh (Kaushik Sen) in his Hatimara home. Since he relentlessly pursued the Naxalites while maintaining normal law and order among the citizens, Mr. Ghosh set a good example for the entire Police Department.
Their home is visited by a middle-aged bachelor named Arghya Sen (Prosenjit Chatterjee), who teaches art to Amartya, the son of Mr. Mrinmoy Ghosh. As a result, the mystery behind Mrinmoy’s tragic death begins to slowly emerge. Upon his arrival, Arghya discovers that Kaberi Bhattacharya, played by Srabanti Chatterjee, Mrinmoy’s innocent and lovely sister, has also been murdered.
Pritam Singh (Indraneil Sengupta), the new officer-in-charge, helps Arghya as they begin to solve the case of Kaberi’s disappearance. The highlight of the movie is a high-voltage drama starring Kaushik Ganguly as a police officer who has never played that character before, and Prosenjit.
Kaberi Antardhan has been shot mostly in the beautiful landscape of North Bengal.

The music has been composed by Prabuddha Banerjee.
