Bandhan Bank organized an event to congratulate and felicitate Indian sporting legend, Leander Paes, on his remarkable achievement of being inducted into the prestigious International Tennis Hall of Fame.

In the player category, he is the first Asian to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. This honor acknowledges Leander‘s legacy as one of the all-time great players and his commitment to the game. Additionally, Bandhan Bank would look for ways to help Leander Paes realize his goal of inspiring and helping 250 million children globally to make the world a better place to live.

In Indian sports, Leander Paes is a household name thanks to a career spanning more than thirty years. Paes renowned for his extraordinary talent, tenacity, and sportsmanship, has brought honor to India several times. His induction to the International Tennis Hall of Fame is evidence of his commitment to the game and his influence on it on a global scale.

Leander Paes expressed his excitement at the event. “Being the first Asian and Indian in the Player category to be admitted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame makes me feel humbled and honored. This accomplishment is the result of many years of perseverance, hard effort, and continuous support from my family, coaches, teammates, and Indians everywhere. I am appreciative of Bandhan Bank for acknowledging and commemorating this unique occasion with me” said Paes.

It is also the sport that gives equal opportunities to players irrespective of their caste, creed, or color. Tennis also provides equal opportunities for scholarships for boys and girls in colleges. I think Bandhan Bank also gives equal opportunities to every person. They started by giving out small loans. They began women’s empowerment by giving such small loans. The women were taught over 18 months how to better utilize the loans. As a result, I feel connected to this bank”.
