It is not always that technicians, make-up artists are awarded for the hard work that they do. So to honor them for their work and contribution, StageCraft Award was started five years ago by eminent singer Usha Uthup.

The fifth edition of StageCraft Award 2018 was held at Kalamandir. Celebrities from both Bollywood and Tollywood graced the occasion. Ace Tollywood star Prosenjit Chatterjee is the face of StageCraft Foundation.

The categories in which the awards were given include, Best Decorator & Fabricator, Best Stage Prop Supplier, Best Event Set Designer, Best Sound & Light Company, Best Sound Engineer (Stage), Best Light Designer (GES), Best Recording Engineer (Studio), Best Choreographer, Best Make Up Artist, Best Costume Designer, Best Theatre Production, Best Event Director, Best Event Manager, Special Awards and Special Jury Recognition Award. Three Special Awards and a Hall Of Fame Award were also given on the occasion.

The audience was enthralled with performances from, Sanam Puri, Akriti Kakar, Benny Dayal, Raj Burman, Deepsikha Raina, Rupam Islam and Anupam Roy. The show was anchored by Mir.

The Jury members for the StageCraft Award 2018 were Mr Anurag Chirimar, Mr Kanoj Saha, Mr Vinod Bhandari, Mr Satrajit Sen, Mr Tanmoy Bose, Ms Tanushree Shankar, Mr Ramesh Pandey Mr Arup Roy, Mr Jimmy Tangree, Mr Bratya Basu and Ms Agnimitra Paul.

The core members of StageCraft Foundation are Ms Usha Uthup, Ms Mahua Lahiri, Mr Anil Kuriakose, Mr Shiladitya Chaudhury and Mr Gautam Jain.
