Star Jalsha’s Meyebela To Break Stereotypes Around Women Relationships
Every single one of us was raised with the idea that women are the number one adversary of the other women in our immediate vicinity. In society, there is a persistent underlying belief that women are constantly in competition with one another. To boost their self-esteem, they deliberately disparage one another. When the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law are involved, this terrible relationship worsens. The launch of Meyebela by Star Jalsha, which celebrates the emotional and psychological dependence between the women of the house, breaks free from the constraints of these unspoken stereotypes of mother-daughter, mother-in-law, and daughter-in-law relationships and between all women who share a home.
With this show, renowned actor Rupa Ganguly will make her television screen come back. In addition to playing a variety of parts in movies like Antarmahal, Abar Aranye, and Bariwali, Rupa Ganguly won millions of hearts with her portrayal of Draupadi in Mahabharat.
In this show, Rupa Ganguly portrays Bithika, a diverse woman who, after being married, was unable to pursue her inclinations. She is now the household’s mother-in-law, and she is the subject of the entire narrative. The lives of Bithika, Mohona (Swikriti Majumder), and Nirjhar (Arpan Ghoshal) are the focus of Meyebela’s main storyline. The plot develops as Bithika’s daughter-in-law empathizes with her suffering rather than becoming resentful of her. Because her mother remarried after losing her father while she was a little child, Mohona had a difficult upbringing. She is matched by fate with Bithika, who has also endured significant suffering. Mohona is adamant about getting her mother-in-law to like her despite all the challenges. The plot develops as both characters become acquainted with each other while living together.
Speaking at the event, Rupa Ganguly said “I often took a break from acting earlier also. However this time the break was a long one. Earlier I took breaks of six months or so. However, I realized that I could not handle politics and acting together. Both are time-consuming professions and require sincerity. However, when I heard the story of the serial, I realized this was a project I would like to work on”.
Swikriti Majumder said “It is a pleasure to work with so many experienced actors. I am glad that I got the chance to act in this serial. The character of Mohona is interesting. She lives with her aunt and uncle. Later she gets married to Bithika’s family. However, Bithika does not like her. Can Mohona make Bithika like her?”.
Meyebela is produced by Surinder Films.
Meyebela starts from 23rd January onwards, Mon-Sun at 7:30 pm only on Star Jalsha SD and Star Jalsha HD.
