Star Jalsha in order to highlight on the spiritual and devotional connect of Bengal has come up with a new serial titled Mahapeeth Tarapeeth.

The serial will explore the manifestation of Tarapeeth which according to the legends is home to one of the 51 parts of Maa Sati. The show will highlight how the Tantric Hindu temple became the popular revered Shakti Peeth by regaling tales known and unknown surrounding around it.

Mahapeeth Tarapeeth will also shed light on the various phases of Maa Tara and Sadhak Byamakhyapa’s journey to fight against the different societal evils.

The press conference was attended by Nabanita Das who plays Maa Tara, Sabyasachi Chowdhury who plays Byamakhyapa, Subrata Roy, Producer of Mahapeeth Tarapeeth and others.

Speaking at the event, Sabyasachi Chowdhury said “When I was considered for the role, I was surprised because this character is so much revered among the audience. And this role has been played many times before too. However I am happy that I was offered the role. I have read and researched for this role so that I can portray it in a convincing manner”.

The title music is composed by Jeet Gannguli and sung by Shreya Ghoshal.

The show will be aired from 4^th February, Monday to Sunday at 10 pm on Star jalsha SD and HD.
