Bengal has a long history, a thriving culture, and strong ties to religion and spirituality. Star Jalsha is a pioneer in telling tales of transformation and producing and lauding inspirational people. Another such story from Star Jalsha is getting launched on 17^th April 2023 titled Ramprasad, “A Spiritual Story of a Family Man”.

Hindu Shakta poet Ramprasad lived in the 18th century. According to mythology, Ramprasad was born into a Bengali Baidya family amid a period of political turmoil, social upheaval, and many ups and downs, and he used his soulful music to bring about peace in the midst of chaos. Many people admire his poems and melodies, also known as Ramprasadi. The narrative honors Ramprasad’s journey, who in addition to being a fervent devotee of Goddess Kali, continued to fulfill all of his domestic duties as a husband and father.

The narrative describes how Ramprasad, a devoted husband and father of children and a loving wife named Sarbani, followed his search for divinity via his poetry and music. We’ll see how Sarbani has provided the biggest amount of support in his life and also his support in his devotional journey.

The soulful title track of the show, Ramprasad, has been sung by famous Bollywood playback singer Shaan.

The lead roles will be played by Sabyasachi Chowdhury as Ramprasad, Sushmili Acharjya as Sarbani (Ramprasad’s wife), and Payel De as Goddess Kali.

The show is produced by Surinder Films.
