8^th December 1930, Binay Basu, Badal Gupta, and Dinesh Gupta entered the Writers’ Building in British attire and punished the tyrant Mr. Simpson for his atrocities. This patriotic story is has been shown in the recently released Bengali film 8/12 (Binay Badal Dinesh Saga).

The premiere of this film took place recently at Priya Cinema.

Gracing the occasion was director Arun Roy, Kinjal Nanda, Arna Mukherjee, Remoo, Gulshanara Khatun, Anushka Chakraborty, music director Soumya Rit and producer Kan Singh Sodha.

Kinjal, Arna, and Remoo will be seen in the role of Binay Basu, Badal Gupta, and Dinesh Gupta respectively.

Apart from the cast and crew, celebrities like Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, Subhrajit Mitra, Shaheb Chatterjee, Arjunn Dutta, Mekhla Dasgupta and many others graced the premiere.

The director mentioned that the film must be watched to unearth the reason why Binay, Badal, and Dinesh entered the Writers’ Building to kill Mr. Simpson.

Saswata Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, Shankar Debnath, Devraj Mukherjee, and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

A good film to watch this weekend and relive the contributions made by the freedom fighters for the independence of the country.
