The student body of Calcutta University (College Street Campus) created the framework for Chronicles of Revolt (sangrami boipotro) in remembrance of the November Revolution.

Songs, debates, quizzes, and much more joined the stealthy uprising of the books.

On the 10th, this joyous appeal was issued. On the chilly evening of the final day, “Shudhu Tomakei Bhalobese Collective” (STB collective) appeared in song and spirit with their lyrics on love. The romantic echoes of College Street’s literary aroma were shared by passersby.

A hint of revolt was incorporated into the songs of Sudhaborshy, Arghya, Pritam, Ritaban, and Nilanjan.

Silajit Majumder was quoted by band member Nilanjan Ghosal and said, “What song of change exists without love?” That’s what we think. Love is the only thing that can stop this hate-filled future; like the fools we are, we will be facing it with love. The brightness of youth—the naive lovers engrossed in the here and now who yearn for change”.

A great initiative indeed.
