Sudarshana Mukherjee, Councillor, Ward 68, Kolkata Municipal Corporation announced a unique street carnival ‘Paanch Phoron’.

It features fashion, lifestyle, food, home-décor, and art carnival with interactive workshops for senior citizens, women, the differently abled, etc. at Citizens’ Park, Cornfield Road, Kolkata.

Gracing the inauguration were Debojyoti Mishra, Music Director, Revered Dilip Maharaj, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Swapan Basu, Folk Singer and Siddhartha Chatterjee, Actor & Financial Analyst.

In addition to a variety of stalls, there will be sessions for parents of children with disabilities, senior folks, and others on mental wellness at this carnival. In the three-day carnival, live drama and music performances will be included. Together with goods manufactured by various Self Help Groups, goods made by the Sundarbans’ tiger widows and their families will be on display.

“Especially during this month of love, it has always been our goal to involve the entire community in all of our projects. We made an effort to include the idea of welfare in this fair. Our inclusive attitude to the community in basic humanitarian ideals is elementary to an inclusive evolution of society” said Ms. Sudarshana Mukherjee, Councillor for Ward 68 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

‘Paanch Phoron’ Street Carnival will be held at Citizens’ Park, Cornfield Road, Kolkata, and will continue till 19^th February 2023.
