Dhruba Shil, a brilliant fourth-year student in the Electrical Engineering Department of JIS College of Engineering, has made waves with a spectacular creation that combines eco-friendly design with cutting-edge technology. Shil’s design, an eco-friendly hat, has the potential to change the way personnel in industries like as farming, policing, and trains deal with outside issues.

The hat, made of bamboo and palm, not only provides long-term sun protection but also includes outstanding technological characteristics. A solar panel included in the design drives a small fan via a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, ensuring wearers’ comfort even in hot situations. The hat has a built-in walkie-talkie with a communication range of up to 6 kilometers, GPS for navigation, and an SOS button for emergencies.

This brilliant idea solves real-world difficulties faced by those who work long hours outside, offering a sustainable, energy-efficient, and practical solution that has the potential to set new standards for personal protection equipment.

Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, of JIS Group, commented on Dhruba Shil’s success, said, “Dhruba’s creation illustrates the transforming power of youthful ingenuity and persistence. This invention is more than simply a product; it represents a vision of how technology and sustainability may collaborate to address everyday problems. At JIS Group, we are dedicated to developing such talent and creating an environment in which ideas can grow”.

Congratulations Dhruba Shil.
