A huge 3.8 kg ovarian cyst was successfully removed from a 19-year-old female patient named Priyanka at NIIMS Hospital in Greater Noida, marking a remarkable surgical accomplishment. The patient’s severe abdominal pain and obvious swelling led to the identification of the cyst, which measured about 28x20x10 cm.

Concerns about a possible cancer were raised by early diagnostic scans that indicated the mass came from the colon’s mesentery. Cancer was ruled out following a thorough evaluation. After that, Dr. Harsh Bhati, a consultant general surgeon, and his surgical team took up the case for an exploratory laparotomy.
