The press conference for Pongila Productions‘ first Bengali film Suchana: The Beginning took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.
Suchana: The Beginning explores the complexities of dreams, relationships, and the process of self-discovery. The movie aims to be a cinematic experience that combines striking images with a potent storyline to connect with audiences on several levels.
This thought-provoking film introduces two talented debutantes, Megha and Rup, who are all set to captivate audiences with their fresh and compelling performances.
The film is directed by Pausali Sengupta, who is renowned for her innovative methods and profound knowledge of human psychology. “With Suchana: The Beginning, we aim to explore the essence of new beginnings, both in the story we tell and in the talented new faces we introduce to the industry. My chosen medium is cinema, and with my debut Bengali feature film, I aim to strike a deep chord with viewers, break down boundaries, and create tales that will stay with them long after the credits have rolled”.
The movie is shot in the scenic locations of Sikkim.
The music for the film is composed by sarod player Arko Sen, and the lyrics are by Aroop Ghosh. Singers Shreyan, winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, and Shovan Ganguly sang the songs in the film.
The film will be released on Friday, July 26th in theaters across Kolkata and West Bengal.
