The premiere of director Suman Maitra’s film Shimanto was graced by the cast and crew of the film.

The story of Shimanto revolves around an elite team of the Intelligence Bureau that is constantly working to identify and dismantle a criminal network that is responsible for a potentially deadly operation in Kolkata and along the border between India and Bangladesh.

The cast of the film consists of Paayel Sarkar, Shaheb Bhattacherjee, Rano Joy, Mainak Banerjee, Sudip Mukherjee, Hrishie Raj, Ananda Choudhuri, Sonia Roy, Sushil Sikaria, Dhruba Debnath, Pallav Ghosh, and Ratnadeep Ghosh.

The producer of the film is Ratan Saha and Satadeep Saha.
