Sun Bangla’s new serial Sholok Saree will narrate the story of two sisters, Sholok and Saree. Saree does embroidery work on saris. They both dream that the saris they design will become popular. What happens next?

A press conference was organized to announce this new serial. The cast of the serial graced the conference.

Actress Sukanya Chakraborty and Hiya Adhikari are making their debut with this serial.

Sholok’s role is portrayed by Sukanya Chakraborty. Sholok is a lady who protests against any injustice that she witnesses around her.

The role of Saree will be enacted by Hiya Adhikari. She is a quiet girl, unlike her sister. She is amazingly creative.

Sarthak Mukherjee’s role will be played by Indranil Chatterjee. He is the son of a rich business family. Unlike other spoiled brats of rich families, Sarthak is a down-to-earth man. He respects others irrespective of their background and this makes him different from the others.

The serial began shooting with an outdoor sequence in Bolpur. The two heroines even got hurt during the shoot. However, they continued with the project with utmost dedication.

Actors Kaushik Banerjee, Maitreyee, Anannya Biswas, and others will be seen in important roles in the serial.

Kaushik Banerjee said “I am glad that I was cast in such a positive character. I play a Ghar Jamai in the serial. I could not understand that after playing so many negative characters, someone could have even thought of me in such a role. Since I have embarked on this journey, I will give my all”.

Actress Maitreyee who has done many positive characters has been given a role that is very different from her real persona. “This is challenging. I have to portray a woman who is haughty and controls her son and husband. So this is something new for me” added the actress.

The new serial will air on Sun Bangla daily at 7.30 pm.
