The sixth Sunfeast Cup Football Tournament 2022 powered by Sunfeast Bounce, which kicked off on September 26th, 2022, successfully completed with more than 2700 players showcasing their prowess and enthusiasm for the game. The most important football event in the Northeast has helped over 20000 footballers display their talent since it began in 2015. Bhaichung Bhutia, a former Indian captain, attended the final game at the city’s Sports Authority of India (SAI) Football Ground and gave the victorious Manipur Marshals (U-13) & Manipur Marshals (U-16) teams the coveted Sunfeast Cup trophy.

Over the past 1.5 months, ITC’s Sunfeast has been interacting with young football players from a range of schools and clubs. Through entertaining and interactive games, one of Sunfeast’s well-known brands, Bounce, has been directly interacting with schoolchildren in the area and promoting football.

Teams from some of the greatest clubs and schools in the area battled against one another for the coveted trophy in this high-stakes league.

During the league’s matches, 246 teams from clubs and schools put forth outstanding performances and amazing efforts.

The U-13 final was contested between Meghalaya Masters and Manipur Marshals. The U-16 final was played between Meghalaya Masters and Manipur Marshals. Manipur Marshals (U13 & U-16) won the sixth edition of the Sunfeast Cup.

All sides involved, including the parents of players, coaches, and sports administrators, have given this annual project by ITC Sunfeast high praise. It has become into one of the most coveted competitions for football fans in this region over the past few years.

More than 2000 teams from various regions of the Northeast have participated in the event since it began, all vying to become the football champions. Sunfeast Cup has constantly strived to foster a positive sporting environment and has produced talented football players, such Yaikhom Pritam Singh, Fairly Suting, Shemjingmut Kharmyndai, and Maheson Singh Tongbram is the captain of the Indian national U16 and U17 football teams. They are participating in numerous state leagues and are beloved by football supporters all around the nation.
