Bandhan Bank Ltd celebrated the success of Swapna Barman for winning the maiden gold medal for India in the Heptathlon event of the Asian Games 2018. Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, MD & CEO, Bandhan Bank felicitated Swapna Barman and awarded her with a cheque of Rs 10 lakh for her future training requirements.

Swapna’s journey was not a fairy tale journey. She was born with six toes in each foot. She had to bear a lot of pain during training as the regular shoes did not fit her well. She worked hard and defeated the former gold medallist and defending champion as well.

The amount received by Swapna will be utilized by her for her training purposes.
