Swasastra Sima Bal Celebrated Netaji’s 126th Birthday
On January 23, events will be held all throughout India to commemorate Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 126th birthday. On January 21, Kolkata’s Swasastra Sima Bal (SSB) and Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) jointly commemorated Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 126th birthday. The Union Home Ministry delegated this task to the Swasastra Sima Bal (SSB) in Kolkata. The NDRF, EZCC, NSG, and CISF were also present.
The event’s chief guest was Dr. CV Anand Bose, the Governor of West Bengal.
A yoga practice was conducted at 8 am as part of the event, which was also attended by members of the SSB, NSG, CISF, NDRF, and the local community.
Officers, staff, students from Salt Lake I & II and Lady Queen Schools, as well as locals, participated in a walkathon event that was planned from the EZCC grounds to the Karunamayi Bus Stand. About 950 persons enthusiastically attended this large gathering in total. Following that, everyone honored Netaji by presenting wreaths to his statue.
A blood donation drive was held to honor Netaji’s adage, “You give me blood, I’ll give you freedom”. It saw enthusiastic participation from officers and jawans of the CISF, SSB, NDRF, and NSG. The other programs of the various armies included demonstrations of rescue and relief after that. Through this unique presentation, the intent was to raise awareness of the necessity of saving the locals.
The dog show was the next event. On this occasion, the trained dog squads of the army demonstrate their prowess. Then, to the rhythmic rhythms of the INA, the force’s well-trained and disciplined band ensemble mesmerized the in-attendance residents with a stunning and unforgettable performance.
In the evening, a cultural presentation was planned for the Eastern Zonal Cultural Center’s auditorium. The event began with SSB Inspector General IG Rajendra Bhumla extending a warm greeting to His Excellency the Governor and outlining the schedule for the major guests and the audience. In his speech, His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal Dr. CV Anand Bose discussed Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s extraordinary role in the Indian freedom fight as well as his sacrifices and contribution to reawakening patriotism. He also applauded the success of the event, which was jointly organized by the SSB, CISF, NSG, NDRF, and EZCC, and he urged the young people to draw inspiration from Netaji’s character.
