Swiggy Bolt Offers Quick 10-Minute Meal Delivery Service
India’s first on-demand convenience platform, Swiggy Ltd. (NSE: SWIGGY), announced that it has expanded its ground-breaking 10-minute meal delivery service, Bolt, to more than 400 cities and towns nationwide. Bolt is revolutionizing quick service by delivering hot, fresh food from well-known restaurants and QSRs in about ten minutes with little to no preparation time. Bolt was created with an emphasis on dishes that can be delivered quickly without sacrificing quality, freshness, or taste. With a selection of over 10 Lakh dishes, Bolt delivers food from over 40,000 participating eateries.
Bolt was first introduced in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune. Now, it operates in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities like Roorkie, Guntur, Warangal, Patna, Jagtial, Solan, Nashik, and Shillong in addition to emerging centers like Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Indore, Coimbatore, and Kochi. Swiggy ensures that Bolt meets the increasing need for prompt and dependable food delivery in urban and smaller cities and villages by proactively entering these important markets. The states with the greatest Bolt adoption rates are Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, followed by Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Punjab.
For Bolt orders that contain food products that require little to no preparation time, Swiggy is aggressively collaborating with restaurants to maximize order prioritizing. To protect the delivery partners, they are not made aware of the difference between Bolt and standard orders, and there is no reward for expedited delivery. Bolt currently has a delivery radius of only two kilometers, which promotes familiarity and allows for quicker delivery. Prioritizing delivery executives who are closest to the Bolt outlets also maximizes delivery speed.
Bolt-Food in 10 Minutes offers a variety of well-liked food products that are ready to pack or take little preparation time, such as burgers, snacks, baked goods, drinks, desserts, ice cream, and breakfast items.
Customers can choose from a mix of well-known national brands like KFC, McDonald’s, Burger King, Baskin Robbins, Starbucks, Chaayos, and EatFit, alongside local favorites like Gwalia Sweets in Ahmedabad, Shiraz and Kookie Jar in Kolkata, Karachi Bakery and G Pulla Reddy Sweets in Hyderabad, MM Mithaiwala in Mumbai, Bhartiya Jalpan and Anand Sweets in Bangalore, Sethi Ice-cream in Delhi, Irani Cafe in Pune among many others. In Tier 2 cities, top partners like Varalakshmi Tiffins in Guntur, Akhshay Tiffins in Mangalore, and Baap of Rolls in Roorkie already have more than 10% of their orders coming through Bolt.
An important turning point in Swiggy‘s goal to improve customer experience through creative solutions has been reached with Bolt’s growth to more than 400 cities. The Swiggy app’s Food page will prominently display the title “Bolt – Food in 10 mins,” making it simpler for users across the country to obtain this quick service.
