Together with the cast of the eagerly awaited movie Singham Again, Swiggy, India’s first on-demand convenience platform, has set a new Guinness World Record for the most vada pav orders ever delivered in a single delivery. Swiggy provided 11,000 vada pavs to kids from the Robin Hood Army, an NGO that fights hunger by distributing excess food in several Mumbai locales, in partnership with the Singham Again team, Ajay Devgn, and Rohit Shetty.

Swiggy’s recently developed Swiggy XL Fleet, which is intended to handle bulk food deliveries, was used to deliver Mumbai’s famous vada pavs from MM Mithaiwala. In typical Singham fashion, Swiggy teamed up with the Singham Again group to deliver 11,000 vada pavs to different Mumbai schools that were supported by the Robin Hood Army.

Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty, and Swiggy Co-Founder Phani Kishan received the order at the first location, Airport High School & Junior College in Vile Parle, setting a Guinness World Record for the most Vada pavs delivered in a single order. Robin Hood Army-supported schools in Bandra, Juhu, Andheri East (Chandivali and Chakala), Malad, and Borivali received the vada pavs.

This Guinness World Record was made possible in large part by Swiggy XL, a fleet of electric cars designed to effectively manage large orders. Swiggy’s focus on using innovation and technology to meet changing delivery needs while having a big impact on the community was evident in this first-of-its-kind effort.

Children enjoyed their meals as the event came to an end, demonstrating the effectiveness of Swiggy and the Singham Again team’s partnership. Swiggy’s recently announced XL fleet, which is intended for large orders, enabled the delivery to shatter the record. Moeving Urban Technologies Ltd. runs the fleet on the ground, while Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) is the vehicle manufacturer.
