Swiss Professional Diploma In Hospitality To Build Links Between Talents And Employers
CII and ITC joined hands with the renowned EHL Group for offering a Swiss Professional Diploma in Hospitality.
A press conference was organized to announce this association. The press conference was graced by Sougata Roy Choudhury, Executive Director, CII, Nilesh Mitra, Vice president, Talent Management, ITC Hotels, Rohit Jain, Aman Aditya Sachdev, Director & Regional Head at EHL Advisory Services for South Asia, Middle East & Myanmar, Praveen Roy, Associate Director and Regional Head of VET by EHL for South Asia, Middle East & Myanmar.
The VET by EHL Professional Diplomas is for 18 months duration and is divided into three stages of learning namely Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced. The program will be offered in three streams like Culinary, Food & beverage Service, and Rooms.
The certificate provided helps in developing skills and culminates into a Professional Diploma.
The total fee for the program is Rs 3, 00, 000 plus taxes.
The students are assured of 100% placement after completing the program. The candidates become job-ready in 18 months with hands-on experience at luxury hotels of ITC.
The students must have passed their 12th board exam from a recognized board in India with a minimum of 50 percent marks in English. The students must have knowledge of functional English, be willing to work hard, ability to adjust to any situation. A panel will screen the students before they are enrolled in this course.
The first batch of the program will start in August. 200 students will be enrolled in this batch across properties like ITC Maurya (New Delhi), ITC Sonar and ITC Royal Bengal (Kolkata), ITC Maratha (Mumbai), and ITC Grand Chola (Chennai). Fifty students will be taught at each of the hotels.
The faculty at each of the hotels who will be imparting training to the students are all certified by EHL and CII. They have years of working experience and the requisite knowledge.
Students completing this program will have an advantage with future employers in global mobility and in the progression of their careers. With this program, a link will be formed between the talents and the employers. This is different from the other courses as this training model has been developed in partnership with the industry, delivered at industry premises, and facilitated by the industry experts.
