The cast and crew graced the trailer launch of Tahader Katha.

Tahader Katha is devoted to all writers, regardless of their level of popularity or not. The translation of Tahader Katha is About Them. The filmmaker wants to talk about authors who aren’t well-known or popular but who are always trying to tell their stories.

This is the debut film of director Subrata Ghosh.

Tahader Katha comprises an ensemble cast playing characters like Rafiqul (Rishav Basu), Anaal (Anindya Sengupta), Srinath (Krishnendu Dewanji), Priyanka (Debutant Trisha Das), Susmita (Rajnandini Paul), Buro (Deepak Halder), Debranjan (Amit Saha), Bhadra Basu, Biswanath Basu and Arindol Bagchi.

Rajnandini Paul said “I play an actress named Susmita. I play an actress who is not of today’s times. She is therefore not so inhibition-less like today’s actresses. The film shows the real-life struggles of actresses. They are also humans and they also suffer a lot as shown in the film. The film also places a lot of stress on the importance of literature. Today we hardly gift books or get books as gifts. This has also been dealt with in the film”.

Anindya will be seen in the role of Anaal. “I play a 90s man who is employed in a normal job. He is in love with the actress Susmita. The film shows how their love is impacted in the long run. The character is nothing unusual. He is the typical guy next door”.

The film is slated for release on the 10^th of May.
