The Tamralipta Cup 2023 was announced recently in the presence of Dr. Lakshman Chandra Seth, D. Lite, Chairman of ICAR, Ex-MLA and MP, Dipendu Biswas, retired professional footballer, Ajit Banerjee, President of India Football Association, and others.

The Tamralipta Cup 2023 was announced by Salgechha Khelaghar.

This football tournament will showcase the best football talents in the country. With the help of this tournament, football clubs will be able to show their talent.

With the help of this tournament, young footballers will get a chance to show their talents and further their careers in the field.

Speaking at the event, Dipendu Biswas said “We are among the most populated countries in the world. But it is a grave issue that we are not among the qualifying teams that play in the football world cup. This has to be changed and the problem has to be addressed. Tournaments of this caliber are a great step in this direction. New talents can be unearthed and the status of football in India can be bettered”.

The winning team will get Rs 4 lakh as a cash prize and the runners-up team will get a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh.

This tournament will begin on 22^nd April.
