The establishment of skill-based cruise tourism colleges was guided by the government of India’s national policy for cruise tourism. In this context, TCMT Marine Services LLP (TMS), the first Cruise Service Compact Skill Development Institute in India, completed three courses on housekeeping, culinary arts, and food and beverage for cruise ship vocations before launching its fourth course on bartending and croupier on its campus.

The course was launched by Mr.Irfan Ahmed, the H&FS-awarded mixologist and bar consultant at the National and International level, along with the ‘Dada Bartender’, Mr.Sanjoy Ghosh, the winner of Best Innovative in Social Media by National Award for Excellence, India also Panel Jury member of best bars in India and Mr.Tanmoy Roy, the winner of Bartending Championship.

Together with foreign trainers, the three well-known and well-liked bartending celebrities also consented to serve as the course’s instructors at TMS LLP.

TMS LLP launched its first batch on 10 July 2024 with three courses for Cruise Services: Housekeeping, Culinary, and Food and beverages. After successfully running the courses, Singapore Cruise Services company Universal Ship Management PET. Ltd. (6, New Industrial Road, 0704 New Century, Singapore— 536199) confirmed the placement of twenty students from the first batch of TMS.

They declared in September that they would physically recruit on campus. Due to the first batch’s success, TMS chose to partner with the Pailan Group of Institutions to provide its fourth Bartending and Croupier course on July 26, 2024, through the Cocktail and Mocktail Making Competition for schools and colleges.

The Bartender & Croupier course of TMS is a milestone in cruise services not only in India but also worldwide, and it will help to develop proper skills for Cruise Tourism.
