The team of the upcoming Bengali film Mitin Mashi consisting of Koel Mallick, Arindam Sil and others was present to give away clothes donated by Max Fashion for children from different NGOs.

The event took place at Samaj Sebi Club’s Durga Puja premises.

With the help of this initiative, citizens donated new clothes at different Max Fashion stores in Kolkata. On the occasion of Mahalaya, many NGOs like Hope Foundation, Voice of World and others brought about 5000 plus children who were then given these new clothes.

Koel Mallick mentioned that she was glad that she was glad to be a part of such a unique initiative. “The smile on the faces of the children on receiving the new clothes was priceless. I am so glad I came to this event. Their smile reminded me of my younger days when I also used to get happy when I received clothes. Even now I still get happy when I receive new clothes” said the actress.

Director Arindam Sil urged the audience to watch the film as this is not only a detective story but is also a story narrating the tale of a modern Indian woman.

With such a unique initiative undertaken by Max Fashion, many underprivileged children will spend a happier Durga Puja in 2019.
