A special screening of Bilu Rakkhosh on the occasion of the film’s 5th-year completion was done in the presence of eminent film personalities and also the cast and crew of the film.
Prior to the screening, a book on Bilu Rakkhosh was released by Kolikata Letterpress in the presence of Indrasis Acharya, Rituparna Sengupta, Barun Chanda, Joy Sengupta, Kanchana Moitra, Joy Sarkar, and other eminent personalities.
This was the debut film of Indrasis Acharya. The story is about the journey of an IT employee who loves music. It shows the psychological situations through this man’s daily life and how he lost his soul.
The music was released by Amara Muzik.
“This is a great initiative. We have films based on novels. But this is a great thing as a book is released based on a film. This will help future generations to know about the works done before. This kind of restoration work must be supported. I have told Indrasis that he could think of such ideas for his other works as well. When I saw the film, I cried. The film touched me so much. And now to have it in the form of a book is a great idea” said Rituparna Sengupta.
Indrasis Acharya thanked Kolikata Letterpress for the initiative. “I am grateful that this initiative was taken. People can read the story and also provide me with suggestions that will help me to improve my craft” said the director.
Kanchana Moitra said “I was a part of this film and I am thankful that the audience still feels that the story is still relevant. With so many films and web series releasing daily, it is indeed a great feeling that the film is still considered to be such important work”.
Barun Chanda praised the director for making such a mind-blowing and different Bengali film.
