The groundbreaking real estate developer ATK Kalim Group has announced the opening of THE BURJ, a high-end integrated residential complex that will revolutionize luxury living in Kolkata.

With only 30% of the land used for building and over 70% left as natural, open spaces, THE BURJ’s design places a high priority on open spaces. To provide its esteemed clientele with unmatched solutions, the group has partnered with the well-known architecture firm Sujoy Mukherjee & Associates.
A smooth, consistent exterior in a rich, modern color scheme is the focal point of its design. On the fifteenth level, a banquet hall and a 1500-square-foot gymnasium are combined with a distinctive “flying” terrace to provide a striking visual impact. This terrace, which protrudes audaciously into the sky, is the building’s main feature and a work of architectural art.
The structure on its left is framed by an illuminated double-wall contour that rises to create a dramatic peak. This feature protects the rooftop infinity-edge pool from the western sun while simultaneously enhancing the building’s visual appeal. A notable feature is the pool, which protects the top level from the heat of the day while providing expansive views of Kolkata’s cityscape. THE BURJ is a beacon on the EM Bypass at night thanks to the captivating glow created by the pool’s lighting.
The building’s progressive design accomplishes both form and function. It improves terrace seclusion and diverts street noise, guaranteeing peace for flats facing south. Each apartment in THE BURJ is cleverly constructed to be a corner unit with three open sides. Every home will have a unique south-facing orientation, plenty of natural light, and cross-ventilation thanks to its design.
The Burj is expected to be finished by 2028 and will add about 2 lakh square feet of residential space to the 2 million square feet of existing property owned by the ATK Kalim Group.
