With the aim of raising awareness and assisting in the formulation of health policies that benefit Endometriosis patients, the general public, and women, in particular, a foundation dedicated to the cause of Endometriosis and for Endometriosis patients was launched in Hyderabad for the first time in India.

Endometriosis is thought to affect more than 25 million women in India, where it has become a major factor in between 30 and 50 percent of female infertility cases.

One of the most widespread medical problems in the world, endometriosis is also one of the diseases that is most frequently overlooked, misdiagnosed, and misunderstood.

Chronic pelvic discomfort, painful periods, uncomfortable sex, bowel and bladder issues, exhaustion, difficulty getting pregnant, and other symptoms can all be brought on by this disorder.

The foundation is the brainchild of Dr. Vimee Bindra – Fertility Enhancing Surgery Specialist: Endometriosis Excision Surgery Specialist & Co-Founder “ENDOCRUSADERS”.  The foundation will have eminent personalities from various fields like

  • Dr. C Archana Reddy, Hyderabad
  • Dr. Hemant Kanojia, Mumbai
  • Dr Manjiri Valsangkar, Pune
  • Dr. P Swetha, Hyderabad
  • Dr. Priya Bhave, Bhopal
  • Dr. Seema Pandey, Azamgarh
  • Dr. Shilpa Rao, Pune

In order to invest in initiatives that promote awareness, the Foundation is looking for and fostering partnerships among stakeholders, including the federal and state governments, community-based organizations, educational institutions, the commercial sector, and research institutes and individuals.

The Foundation wants to be involved in the following areas using a multi-pronged strategy.

  • Putting into practice recommendations and high standards for endometriosis care, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Raising the degree of education for caregivers.
  • Investing in an educational effort to raise public awareness of endometriosis
  • Organizing a patient advocacy program that serves as a crucial support network for endometriosis patients’ pre-op, post-op, and mental health throughout all of India.
  • Create and implement financing initiatives for endometriosis research
