Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd launched a nationwide e-waste collection drive, named the Festive Edit. The initiative was launched by Mr. Kalyan Rudra, Chairman of the West Bengal Pollution Control Board. It is a part of Hulladek’s sustained efforts to create awareness regarding the proper disposal and recycling of e-waste.

Present on the launch of Festive Edit were Mr. Meghdut Roy Chowdhury, Co-Founder & Chief Evangelist, Y-East & Executive Director & Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group, Ms. Shradha Saraf, Chairperson, FICCI, Mr. Ajay Mittal, Director, India, and South Asia, Earth Day Network, and Mr. Rahul Maheswari, Member, Climate Change, Young India, and others.

Hulladek works with 20 sustainable groups, including Y-East, Young India, Earth Day Network, FICCI, Inner Wheel, AIWC, Beejum, Paryavaran Sangrakshak, and others, on The Festive Edit, a massive e-waste collecting drive that is the first of its type to be carried out nationally. The Festive Edit would organize a massive collection effort for electronic garbage while also raising public awareness of the need for a cleaner and greener environment.

Only a very small portion of Indians are currently aware of how to properly recycle e-waste. The remainder unintentionally adds to the massive pile that ends up in landfills and waterways, increasing the pollution caused by electronic waste.

With this initiative, people will be able to not only get rid of e-waste but also do their bit for the environment.
