The Institution Of Engineers Unveils Great Themes For Award Ceremonies
The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] unveiled the agenda and themes for the upcoming 17th IEI Industry Excellence Awards 2024 and 4th IEI Engineering Education Excellence Awards 2024.
Dr. Ranga Reddy, Chairman of the Excellence Award Committee, and Maj Gen (Dr)Mohan JeetSingh Syali, VSM (Retd), Secretary and Director General, IEI, graced the press conference.
It is scheduled to take place on December 19, 2024, at Novotel Hotel & Residences, Kolkata, and the theme is “Engineering Innovation, Shaping India’s Future as a Global Leader”.
The theme highlights how important engineering is to propelling India’s economic, educational, and industrial advancement on a worldwide scale. The event intends to initiate significant discourse among policymakers, industry leaders, academicians, and innovators to address important issues and possibilities in engineering and education, with sustainability, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and educational reforms taking center stage.
The awards ceremony will be inaugurated by Shri Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, West Bengal, Er BRV Susheel Kumar, FIE, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of TGMDCL, Hyderabad and other eminent guests.
The 17th IEI Industry Excellence Awards 2024 jury committee includes Dr. Enti Ranga Reddy, Er K.K. Mehrotra, Dr. Aloknath De, Er Devendra Gill, and Er M. Venkatachalam.
For the 4th IEI Engineering Education Excellence Awards 2024, the jury comprises Dr. Seeram Sathyanarayna, Er Santhosh Mutha, Cdr (Dr) Bhaskar M Bhandarkar, Dr. Anil Joseph, and Er J.C. Singhal.
IEI announced four engaging panel discussions that will accompany the awards. They are as follows:
1. “How Sustainability Paradigm is at the Core of Industries’ Future?”
2. “How Digital Transformation and Data Intelligence are Helping Industries’ Growth?”
3. “How NEP2020 is Making Impact Through Adoption and Industry Connect?”
4. “How Entrepreneurship is Embraced in Corporates, MSMEs, and Academia?”
There will be participation from leading organizations like Tata Consulting Engineers Limited, Afcons Infrastructure, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Carborundum Universal, MECON, SAIL, Safran Data Systems, and WAPCOS Limited, along with distinguished academic institutions.
The awards will recognize organizations and individuals in a variety of categories for their exceptional contributions to research, education, sustainability, and operational excellence. By honoring creativity and leadership, the IEI Awards hope to spur advancement, promote information sharing, and create alliances that support India’s ambition for global growth and development.
