The Legends Season 3 To Start From 13th June; Debshankar Halder To Host The Third Season
Aakash Aath announced the launch of the third season of The Legends. Debshankar Halder will be hosting this season of this popular musical show.
A press meet was organized which was attended by director Sugata Chatterjee, Debshankar Halder, Jojo, Sidhu, Durnibar Saha, Ujjaini and others.
The Legends Season 3 will enable the viewers to know the unheard stories of various musical and film legends like Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Kumar Sanu, Bappi Lahiri, Mithun Chakraborty and many others.
Some of the performers in this season include Usha Uthup, Madhushree, Debojit Saha, Jojo, Sidhu, Ujjaini, Durnibar Saha and others.
Speaking about the show, Jojo said “I will be singing songs of the legendary Helen ji. I am excited as well as tensed about it. Aa jane ja, Karie pyar karle and others are some of the songs that I will be singing in the show. These songs are not so much sung in musical shows. So you can see that passing this examination is of vital importance to me. I was last so tensed during my class 10 examinations”.
Director Sugata Chatterjee focussed on a new change in the show. “Earlier the singers used to sing alone and the host would later narrate the story behind the song. However this time, this will happen on the same stage and the host will tell the story following which the song will be sung. This will help the audience to bond well with the musical show” said the director.
Ujjaini will be lending her voice to the melodies of Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen’s songs. Tumi je amar and other such famous songs will be sung by the singer. “Whenever I sing Tumi je amar, I think of the face of Geeta Dutt and not Suchitra Sen. And to be able to sing these evergreen songs on the stage of Legends is a huge honor for me. As an audience, I have been following this show. And now I am singing in this show. This means a lot to me as a singer” said the singer.
Sidhu will be lending his voice to the songs of Gautam Chattopadhyay. “The Legends is an infotainment show, I will say. It not only entertains you but also provides valuable information about the songs that you may not be aware about. Entertainment stimulates the heart while information stimulates the brain” said the eminent singer.
The show will begin from 13th June 2019, Thursday to Saturday at 9.30 pm.
