FICCI FLO Kolkata hosted The MSME Connect, an informative and inspiring seminar aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs in the MSME sector. The event featured industry experts and business leaders who shared their experiences, challenges, and success strategies, giving attendees valuable insights into navigating and thriving in the MSME ecosystem.

The keynote address was given by Dr. (h.c.) CS Adv Mamta Binani, President of the MSME Development Forum – West Bengal Chapter and India’s first registered Insolvency Professional. She emphasized the critical role of women entrepreneurs in India’s economic growth, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy, access to funding, and government support.

Dr. Binani also shared valuable insights into the legalities, policies, and opportunities in the MSME sector. She emphasized the importance of structured business growth and compliance for entrepreneurs who want to scale their businesses.

The session included a panel discussion with three successful business leaders:

Ruchika Gupta, President of Sanmarg Group, Eastern India’s leading Hindi daily, Jyoti Jain, Joint Managing Director of TT Ltd, an NSE & BSE-listed textile company, and Sunira Chamaria, Former Director of Damodar Ropeways & Infra Ltd.

The panelists discussed their experiences overcoming obstacles, managing business growth, and breaking down barriers in traditionally male-dominated industries. They discussed resilience, strategic decision-making, and leveraging opportunities in the MSME sector.

The event highlighted MSMEs’ significant contributions to the Indian economy, as well as the critical role of women entrepreneurs in driving growth and innovation.
