The grand trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film The Red Files took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.

The story of the film revolves around the real-life incident of the Bantala rape case that happened in 1990. The film will also be a protest against the brutal issue of rape that is so rampant even in today’s society.

The director of the film is Kingshuk Dey. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are also by Kingshuk Dey.

“The film has been made after conducting much research. We hope that the audience will become more aware after watching the film. Not only entertainment, but films are also a means of making people aware of the happenings in society. This film is an example of that. Through this film, we want to protest against this inhuman act” said the director.

Mumtaz Sorcar, Bidipta Chakraborty, Kinjal Nanda, Tanisqsha Roy, Abhirup Chowdhury, Deboprasad Halder, Dipak Halder, and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

The music of the film has been composed by Soumya-Rit. The songs in the film have been sung by Nachiketa Chakraborty, Papon, and Lagnajita Chakraborty.

The film is eyeing for release on 29^th March.
