The Young Indians (YI), Kolkata Chapter Celebrated Children’s Day
The Young Indians (YI), Kolkata Chapter, The Youth Wing of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), and the two Kolkata-based NGOs Don Bosco Ashalayam and MSS launched the “Flight of Fantasy” project on November 14, in honor of Children’s Day. They flew 14 children from these two organizations to Mumbai, India’s dream city. Team Young Indians are dedicated to assisting these institutions in various ways as well as subsidizing children’s education as part of this program. The purpose of this project was to emphasize the value of following your aspirations and to give these young children the chance to have once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
The kids boarded an airplane for the first time, which signaled the start of their thrilling voyage! A tour of Mumbai’s famous locations, including Marine Drive and the Gateway of India, came next. The cherry on top was getting to engage with, meet, and learn from their favorite movie actors, Sonu Sood, Anupam Kher, and Ajay Devgn.
“Work hard and achieve all of your ambitions. Failure is a circumstance, not a character. Failure should never be feared because it is merely an incident. A persistent individual can attempt again and again until they succeed. When you have faith in yourself, magic happens” said Anupam Kher.
According to Vaibhav Soni, Chair of the Kolkata Chapter of Young Indians (YI), “With YI’s project “flight of fantasy,” we aim to inspire kids from underprivileged communities and instill in them the belief that goals are achievable if one puts in the effort and has faith in them. The biggest reward came when the kids’ smiles when they experienced their first flight and a whole new world with their favorite movie stars. This project was very dear to our hearts as an organization.
A great initiative indeed!!
