Wellington Nagarik Kalyan Samity (Fan Market) organized the Khuti Puja for the upcoming Durga Puja at their premises near Hind Cinema.

Tollywood actresses Payel Sarkar, Koushani Mukherjee, and Rittika Sen graced the event.

Apart from the fact that Durga Puja is celebrated here, this puja is special because five puja committees from different parts of Bengal received the idol of Ma Durga. These committees included the Vishwa Kanan Development Society in Jadavpur, the Brahmapur Bottala Tarun Sangha in Jadavpur, the Sarsuna Shilpi Sangha in Behala, and a club in the Sunderbans.

In addition to these three actresses, Bengali megastar Prasenjit is the face of the Khuti Puja and is scheduled to inaugurate it on Mahalaya or roundabouts.

Following the Khuti Puja, there were more cultural events, such as singing and dance performances.

The Puja is in its 35th year, and this year’s theme is Antar O Bahir.

With the Khuti Puja over, preparations for welcoming the Mother Goddess are in full swing.
