Hazra Park Durgotsab impresses the audience each year by presenting fresh concepts. This year’s Puja in South Kolkata has the attention-grabbing theme “Teen Chakar Golpo” (Tale of Three Wheels).

The 81st anniversary of Hazra Park Durgotsab is being commemorated with the “Teen Chakar Golpo” theme, which is centered around an autorickshaw driver. This puja is located inside Jatin Das Park at Hazra Crossing.

The occasion was graced by eminent personalities like Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Minister of Agriculture, Govt of WB, Sayan Deb Chatterjee, Joint Secretary of Hazra Park Durgotsab Committee, and others.

Sayan Deb Chatterjee, Joint Secretary of Hazra Park Durgotsab Committee said, “Due to the extraordinary dynamism that exists now across all borders, Kolkata, which used to be a rather laid-back city, is now continuously changing and evolving. As a result, we are currently residing in a busy metropolis. In addition to their other responsibilities as a son, husband, or parent, autorickshaw drivers also play a crucial duty as the driver of a three-wheeled autorickshaw. Despite working long hours for little pay, they know how to make their parents and kids happy with what little they have. However, they are unable to stop daydreaming about one day earning a lot of money as they are lying on their ripped blankets every night”.

A felicitation event for 10 Kolkata autorickshaw drivers took place after the theme unveiling.
