Gautam Ghose said “There is an audience for Bangladeshi films in Kolkata. This is evident from the popularity that we have noticed in relation to the film Hawa. People have thronged to the halls to watch the film. Such hype is unprecedented. One needs to break the barriers so that the audience of Bengali films is not limited to a certain geographical area. Steps must be taken so that the films of both sides of the border can be filmed easily”.
