Addatimes launched the trailer of ‘Avishapto’, in the presence of Gourab Chatterjee and Rittika Sen.

It is a dark thriller series, directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee and produced by Surinder Films.

The abrupt disappearance of Aparna’s friend decades ago serves as the narrative’s opening event. In the present, shortly after Aparna’s marriage, when she began spending time at her in-laws’ home, she becomes aware of a problem. But where does the mystery reside when everything is so mysterious? She soon learns that her in-law’s family is under a curse, and as a result, certain bizarre rituals are performed by the members. In the meantime, two more girls from the city vanish.

The 8-episode web series stars actors like Gourab Chatterjee, Rittika Sen & Laboni Sarkar in the lead roles.

Gourab said “I had a great experience shooting the series. I have worked with the director before also. I have not worked in this genre under his direction though. Rittika is a dedicated and cheerful co-star. she is a good actress to work opposite in the series”.

This is Rittika’s first series. Speaking about the experience, the actress said “This is my first experience of acting in a web series. It took me some time to understand the series- like how to act in a series and so on. I have always loved watching thrillers. I have watched several thrillers during the lockdown. This time I am part of it and hence I am super excited. The entire team helped me a lot. It was a great experience. It had a lot of fantastic actors”.

Talking about the USP of the series, the director said “The storyline is different. There is a depth in the characters that the audience will love. They will enjoy the series for sure”.

Avishapto will air on 16th June 2023 only on Addatimes.
