Most humans want their life to a beautiful one. But that hardly happens. With the passing of time, our life becomes something which is not beautiful. This is the main crux of the upcoming Bengali film Beautiful Life. Directed by R.D. Nath, the shooting of the film is in progress in Kolkata.

The scene that was being shot was that Jhumki had finished her bath and Rahul was assisting her to her room.

Tota Roy Chowdhury plays a painter named Rahul. He is married to Jhumki who is physically challenged. He loves Barnali. The character is a positive one according to Tota, as he sacrifices his love for his duty towards his wife. “The heat is too much and I have to wear this wig. However I am thinking that it is 13 degrees outside and just doing my work” said the actor.

Tota also added that he had previously worked with Rituparna Sengupta. She is his favourite co-star and it was indeed a pleasure to share screen space with her yet again.

There are four songs in the film. Two of them are Rabindrasangeet.

Apart from Kolkata, the shoot will also be done in places like Shantiniketan, Kumartuli. According to the director, Kumartuli will be shown in a new light in the film.

Sayantani Sengupta will be seen in the role of the wife, Jhumki. Rituparna Sengupta will be seen enacting the role of Barnali, a sculptor in the film.

The film is eyeing for release on January.
