The trailer launch of the international award-winning film Tar Galpo (Her Story) took place in the presence of eminent dignitaries like Raja Sen (Director), Ashok Ganguly (Former Jurist, Judge of India), Sujan Chakraborty (Indian politician and social worker), Ardhendu Sen (retired IAS officer), Arunabha Ghosh (Indian politician and social worker), Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya (Indian politician and lawyer), the director of Tar Galpo Sudipta Dey and others.

The film shows the real-life struggle of a husband trying to save his wife from cancer. It also shows the fight against inhuman practices in a decaying society. The film shows the sad status of film censorship in India.

The director stated that this is the first film in India that protests against the censor board.

The cast of the film consists of Soumitra Chatterjee, Bimal Bandopadhyay, Ramen Roychowdhury, Papiya Sen, Somaindu Dey, Sudipta Dey, and others.

The film has been selected and won awards at different film festivals- ARFF Barcelona International Awards 2019, Austria International Film Festival 2019, ARFF Amsterdam International Awards 2019, Russian Film Festival 2019, Rome Film Awards 2019, Indie Vision Film Festival Virginia 2019, and French Independent Film Festival 2019.

The music of the film has been composed by Partha Sengupta and the DOP is Kamal Nayek.

The film is eyeing for release soon.
