Trailer Launch of Upcoming Bengali Film Jyeshthoputro on Siblings Day
Upcoming Bengali film Jyeshthoputro is the story of two brothers. On Siblings Day, the trailer of the film was launched in the presence of director Kaushik Ganguly, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Sudipta Chakraborty, Gargi Roychowdhury and others.
The film shows the story of two brothers. One of them is a superstar of Bengali movies. This role is played by Prosenjit Chatterjee and Ritwick plays the role of the other brother who lives in the native village of Ballavpur.
The original concept of the story was conceived by Late Rituparno Ghosh.
Real life siblings Sudipta and Bidipta graced the occasion and shared details about their bonding. “We have never envied one another. I do less films and more television. So when Sudipta comes to do work on the small screen, I am the first one to know. And when I do films, I ask for her advice” said Bidipta.
Sirsha Ray is the DOP of the film. The music has been composed by Prabuddha Banerjee.
“Indrajit comes to his native village of Ballavpur after ten long years. He came to the village after receiving the news of his father’s death. He finds a vast change in his village and hence he is not able to relate to the people or the places he used to visit. He understands that time has not only changed the village and the people but he also has changed a lot. The story shows Indrajit’s journey and how he finds himself” said Prosenjit Chatterjee.
Kaushik Ganguly who had a film Drishtikone releasing around the same time the previous year was elated that another of his film will be releasing around the same time. “After the people will watch the films releasing on Poila Boisakh, then the people will get ready to watch the film we have made” said Kaushik Ganguly.
The film has been produced by Surinder Films and Nideas Creations & Productions Pvt Ltd.
The film is eyeing for release on 26th April.
