TV9 Bangla’s Special Line-Up Of Programs For Durga Puja

TV9 Bangla’s festivities will start with the telecast of “Panch Nari Hatey Tarobari”, a stirring ode to the resilience and energy of women, on Mahalaya Day, which is celebrated as the start of the festive season. This year’s lineup is richer and more lively than ever thanks to entertaining performances like Annya Durga (which features those inspirational ladies), Bonedi Barir Puja (the Durga puja of mansions & palaces), Pujor Adda (Festive gossip), and the eagerly anticipated Puja Competition.
Panch Nari Hatey Torobari, a stirring Mahalaya special honoring five remarkable women who battled society’s “asuras” and become symbols of empowerment, opens TV9 Bangla’s festive programming.
Suchitra Mitra is a renowned Rabindrasangeet exponent, Mahasweta Devi is a renowned writer, poet, novelist, and reformer, Noti Binodini is a trailblazing actor, writer, and theater personality, Jhulan Goswami is India’s first female cricket legend and pace bowler, and Sudipta Sengupta: the first Indian woman to travel to Antarctica, a mountaineer, and a geologist.
TV9 Bangla will broadcast this special program on September 21 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Although Adda never goes out of style, it becomes inextricably linked to the festivities during Puja. Bengal’s top stars, including Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Anirban Chakraborty, Darshana Banik, Bibriti Chatterjee, Srabanti Chatterjee, Manshi Sinha, Mimi Dutta, Srijit Mukherji, and others, will join Pujor Adda to celebrate and discuss upcoming releases like Devi Chaudhurani, Indu 3, Feluda, and Raktabeej 2.
This program can be watched from Sasthi to Nabami (28th Sept – 1st Oct) from 3:30 pm to 4 pm.
Bonedi Barir Pujo is a moving exploration of Bengal’s past that highlights the splendor of Durga Puja festivities held at state-wide Rajbaris and aristocratic palaces. These ageless customs, which have been handed down through the ages, tell stories of devotion, culture, and history—all mingled with Bengal’s natural beauty and rustic appeal.
It will be telecast on TV9 Bangla from 22nd – 26th Sept, 3:30 pm onwards.
Real-life heroes who exhibit resilience and metamorphosis are honored by Annya Durga. They include:
• Shanti Sabar of Purulia, a member of the Sabar tribal community, whose resolve to educate impoverished children became a symbol of resiliency and hope;
• A fearless woman from the tea gardens of Dooars, who battled child trafficking, taught karate to empower girls, and promoted education for school dropouts.
Because of these inspirational tales of bravery, tenacity, and grace, Annya Durga is a must-see celebration of women’s unbreakable spirit.
The episodes will be aired from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m from September 23 through 27.
