Uber announced the launch of Uber for Teens, a product created especially to offer convenient, dependable, and safe transportation options for Indian teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17.

Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Bhubaneswar are among the 37 cities in the nation where Uber for Teens has been introduced.

Uber for Teens seeks to give parents nationwide peace of mind while simultaneously granting their children more autonomy. GPS tracking, real-time ride tracking, and an in-app emergency button are just a few of the strict safety measures that form the foundation of the product.

The product was designed to give parents additional security and confidence by enabling them to keep an eye on the rides their teenagers reserve. In order to request rides on behalf of their teenagers, track their rides in real time, and get comprehensive ride summaries, parents can create a Teens account.

Steps to book an Uber for Teens ride:

  •  Teens can be invited to join the app by parents or guardians who have a verified Uber account.
  • The teenager must create an account and designate their parents as guardians.
  • As soon as the account is set up, the teenager can begin making trip requests.
  • Additionally, their app will notify parents and guardians about trips.
  • Guardians can request rides for their teenagers, which will appear on the teen’s account.

A great initiative, indeed.
