A strategic collaboration to strengthen trade and economic links between the United Arab Emirates and India was launched when the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the UAE-India CEPA Council (UICC) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The UICC and the ICC shall combine efforts, resources, and ideas by their separate responsibilities, and work together to raise awareness of the substantial potential of the bilateral economic engagement between the UAE and India.

Through the MoU, the parties form a wide-ranging collaboration centered on publicizing the bilateral economic engagement between the UAE and India, and the UAE-India CEPA in particular. To support increased economic, investment, and trade engagement between the two countries, both organizations will work together to raise awareness among the UAE and India of the significant potential of the bilateral economic partnership, highlight opportunities for UAE and Indian companies to take advantage of the UAE-India CEPA and mobilize important private sector stakeholders in both countries. Along with these activities, they will host joint events and facilitate member interactions, promote organizational roles, exchange information, and hold dialogues. They will also look for ways to expand tangible cooperation between the leaderships of the various organizations.

The cooperation advances the goals of the bilateral trade partnership, which include increasing trade volumes, providing businesses in both countries with the advantages of advantageous trade policies, and fostering chances for the economic relations between India and the United Arab Emirates to grow.

The UICC is committed to developing commercial and economic ties between India and the United Arab Emirates. Using strategic alliances and programs like this Memorandum of Understanding, the council strives to create opportunities that benefit enterprises in both nations.
