The film Unicorn revolves around Apala who belongs to a culturally rich traditional family of North Calcutta. When she was little, her grandmother had told her that her embroidered blanket had magical powers. If ever, she was threatened by danger, the blanket would rescue her. This ornate blanket had come down to her, from generation to generation, from the hand of one lady of the house to another.

Apala had taken it with her after marriage and locked it up in some cupboard of hers, and then forgotten all about it. Her grandmother had been the last person to embroider pictures of daily life in that blanket. Apala had got caught up in the whirligig of marriage, family, child, and work. She had found that the dreams of her unmarried life were evaporating. Suddenly, Apala finds her long-cherished blanket. And so begins a new chapter in Apala’s somewhat mundane existence. What happens next?

The cast of the film consists of Chiranjeet Chakroborty, Debleena Dutt Mukherjee, Rajorshi Dey, and Rana Jlt.

The story, screenplay, foreign cinematography, and direction are by Tathagata Mukhopadhyay.

The editing has been done by Pradipta Bhattacharyayy and the music has been composed by Mayookh Bhoumik.

The cinematographer of the film is Subhadeep Dey and the sound design is by Anindit, Adeep.

The film has been produced by Pramod film in association with PSS entertainments Tathagata And Debleena Production Creation.

Unicorn will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar from 23^rd April 2021.
