For more than ten years, the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata, the biggest sporting event in East India, has served as a symbol of the city’s pride and distinction. On Sunday, December 14, 2025, the World Athletics Gold Label 25K will commemorate its tenth historic edition.

Since the beginning of the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata, which begins on the Red Road, the Indian Army has been an integral part of the event’s path. To commemorate the relationship, Procam International organized a unique Art Camp at the Marco Hall of Raj Bhavan in Kolkata in cooperation with the Indian Army and the Family Welfare Fund, Bengal Sub Area, Indian Army.

He said, “The Bengal School of Painting’s birthplace, Kolkata, has long been a creative city with a rich past. As the Tata Steel World 25k Kolkata 2025 Art Camp progresses, we honor two strong forces: creativity and perseverance. The artist is as resolute in their defense of truth and beauty as an army soldier is in their discipline. Just like making great art is a quest for perfection, the Tata Steel World 25k is more than just a run; it is a test of perseverance. Both journeys require vision, perseverance, and bravery—from the brushstroke to the finish line, from the canvas to the open road”.

Twenty-five young and up-and-coming painters from Bengal’s top art schools, including Visva-Bharati University, Rabindra Bharati University, Government College of Art & Craft, Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Indian Art College, and Montmartre, joined forces to create moving works that were influenced by the themes of bravery, resiliency, and patriotism—the tribute skillfully combined art, sport, and service.

The renowned artist Shri Debasish Mallick Choudhury will curate these pieces for a public display at the Ministry of External Affairs’ Indian Council of Cultural Relations later this year. With the help of Impact360 Foundation, the event’s philanthropic partner, all revenues will be given to the Army Welfare Fund, Bengal Sub Area, Indian Army, in a potent demonstration of the philanthropic potential of art.
