Vikram Chatterjee And Ditipriya Roy In Aditya Sengupta’s Directorial Debut
Small Taalk Ideas helmed by actor Sampurna Lahiri and producer Rahul Bhanja announced their second Bengali feature starring Vikram Chatterjee and Ditipriya Roy in lead roles. The yet to be titled film will be directed by Aditya Sengupta.
This is the first time Vikram and Ditipriya will be paired in a film.
The film is about two friends who bond over a beautiful road-trip journey that helps them discover life and more.
This would be actor turned director Aditya Sengupta’s debut as a filmmaker on the big screen. He is remembered for his role in the film ‘Projapati Biscuit’.
Prosenjit Chatterjee, blessed the trio as they embark on their new journey. He said, “I have great trust in the younger generation. I wish them all the best for their new venture. Aditya’s short film went to the Cannes Film Festival and I am hopeful that this film will be a good one”.
Vikram has known Aditya for a while and has been planning to do a film together since 2017. According to Vikram, the script is brilliant, simple, and lovable. Simple storytelling excites me a lot because people relate to it easily. He is looking forward to shooting the film.
Ditipriya was delighted to be working with Bushka da (Aditya Sengupta). She played the role of his sister-in-law in his first acting venture Projapoti Biscuit and now he will be directing her in his first directorial venture.
The soon-to-be-titled venture will be shot extensively in Sikkim with a tribute to the filmmaking style of Imtiaz Ali. The music will play an integral part in the film and will be composed by Ranajoy Bhattacharya.
The untitled film is scheduled to start this year.
