At the SPL Volvo dealership in Kolkata, Volvo Car India unveiled the new XC90, establishing a cutting-edge standard for luxury SUVs. The award-winning and best-selling flagship SUV is further enhanced by the new XC90 and features a suite of cutting-edge technology and elegant design elements. His Excellency Jan Thesleff and Mr. Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director of Volvo Car India, graced the national launch event, which took place on March 4 at the Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi.

The new XC90, like all Volvos, is built to be among the safest cars available. In order to protect passengers and other road users, it has a sturdy safety cage and an extensive range of active safety technologies.

The new XC90 can automatically steer the car back into its lane and detect inadvertent lane drifts using the radar and front camera, averting possible collisions. Additionally, it has collision avoidance and run-off road mitigation systems that can recognize and respond to large animals, cyclists, pedestrians, and other vehicles.

With its improved standard suspension and superb seating comfort, the new XC90 offers an unmatched driving experience. Now, the individual dampers mechanically adjust to the current road conditions, maximizing comfort and stability for a calm and secure ride.

To guarantee the most comfortable ride, the optional air suspension system, in combination with an active chassis, scans the car, road, and driver 500 times per second. By lowering the vehicle by 20 mm for better aerodynamics or raising it by 40 mm for difficult terrain, this system enables ride height adjustments. A calm cabin atmosphere is produced by improved insulation, which also lessens wind and road noise.

The new XC90’s interior has been redesigned to reflect modern Scandinavian design. It includes new vertical air vents and a more horizontal dashboard with decorative panels made of high-quality recycled materials. The opulent atmosphere is further enhanced by improved ambient lighting.

Access to a variety of features, apps, and over-the-air software updates is made easy by a new 11.2-inch central touchscreen with improved resolution and an updated user interface.

The new XC90 is priced at Rs. 1,02,89,900 (ex-showroom)
