“We Consulted AccuWeather Predictions and It Turned Out To Be Correct”- Director Goutam Ghose on Raahgir
Director Goutam Ghose’s Raahgir (The Wayfarers) received great appreciation from the audiences and the critics at the recently concluded Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star.
The director along with cast members Tillotama Shome and Neeraj Kabi graced the press meet held at the 25th Kolkata International Film Festival.
The director said that the fading empathy among the people in today’s times made him remember the story by Prafulla Roy. The co-writer of the film was Jagannath Guha.
The film was shot during the monsoon in 2018. The director revealed that the schedule of the film’s shoot was done based on the predictions of AccuWeather. They needed 20 days of rain and storms and the predictions turned out to be correct. That was helpful for the team of the film.
The visual appeal of the film was what drew the director to make the film. The story demanded a grey tome and hence the need for the overcast sky.
The cinematographer of the film is Goutam Ghose’s son, Ishaan Ghose.
Adil Hussain plays an important role in the film. The director praised Adil, Tillotama and Neeraj for doing a great work in the film.
