Poila Boisakh is incomplete without many elements. They are new dresses, yummy food, and new Poila Boisakh songs. These three elements complete the grand celebration of the Bengali New Year’s Day.

To celebrate this occasion, Surinder Films organized the music album launch of modern Bengali songs. The album has been named Boisakher Panchgaan.

The songs have been sung by Gargi Roy, Iman Chakraborty, Subhomita, Rupankar, and Jayati Chakraborty.

Speaking at the event, Iman Chakraborty said “It is very important to have Poila Boisakh song releases. When I started my career, two of my albums were released before the cassette system was abolished. Then came CDs which also became less popular with time. And now is the age of social media. I have been through all the phases of music development. Despite everything, I feel that it is vital to have song releases on this special day”.

The music was composed by Indraadip Dasgupta. “We all have done our very best to make the songs interesting and appealing for the listeners. Let’s see how the audience reacts to the songs” said the music composer.

Rupankar said that the song that he has sung has old-world charm and is not the typical modern musical composition that listeners listen to.
