What Is Bhowanipur 75 Palli’s Theme In Diamond Jubilee Year?
Bhowanipur 75 Palli is preparing a big Durga Puja celebration with a colorful theme called “Tobuo Tomar Kache Aamar Hridoy” to mark its Diamond Jubilee year. This year is an important turning point that reflects Kolkata’s everlasting energy and changing culture.
Designed by artist Shivshankar Das, the themed party would include a mandap that uses eco-friendly materials like asbestos sheets and iron to create a rustic look. Intricate idol design by internationally recognized artist Sanatan Dinda completes the artistic vision, guaranteeing a fusion of tradition and contemporary. Poet Jibanananda Das once said, “Yet my heart is with you”, which perfectly captures the feelings of Kolkata’s people, who find solace and identity in their dynamic metropolis.
The name of the theme, ‘Tobuo Tomar Kache Aamar Hridoy’, sums up our affection for Kolkata, a city that has undergone many changes but yet holds a special place in our hearts. This year, the puja committee wants to highlight how Kolkata keeps evolving while being loyal to its history by fusing modernism and tradition.
Apart from the lavish festivities, Bhowanipur 75 Palli is dedicated to social duty. A percentage of the money raised for Durga Puja is allocated to different social projects all year long. Free health examinations, educational campaigns on socioeconomic concerns, and blood, body, and eye donation drives are some of these initiatives. To further demonstrate its commitment to community welfare, the committee also gives away clothing to the impoverished and educational packages to youngsters in need.
